1. What is Martial Arts Talent.com and who's behind us?

Martial Arts Talent.com ("MAT") is the #1 resource for martial artists seeking martial arts jobs (instructors, martial arts schools, etc.) or those who wish to work in film, television, acting, modeling, fight choreography, stunt work, action film, as extras or otherwise display or use their abilities in the entertainment and/or performance industry. We are the premier resource for recruiters seeking specialized martial artists. Our members have access to martial arts casting calls, martial arts jobs and more. We have been around since 2004 and are a part of SK7 NETWORKS INC. We have been written about in well-known martial arts magazines and a number of martial arts websites.

2. What does my Member Profile allow me to do?

You can have a Talent Profile (for acting and casting) or a Job Seeker profile for employment jobs. Both types allow you to upload your resume, up to 9 photos, and 1 video reel. Only authorized recruiters have the capability to search profiles. If you choose to be featured in Spotlight or Testimonials, the public will see your profile. Your contact details are not revealed. 3. What are your site rules for martial arts background?

You should have at least one full year of martial arts training in the last 3 years, or currently be in training. Any kind of martial arts is acceptable. This does not include aerobic or specialty classes in gyms which offer mixed exercise/martial arts classes. For choreography, you should have significantly more training in the last 10 years.

4. May I still register without martial arts training?

Martial Arts training is generally required. This is a specialized talent and job site and the opportunities are targeted for martial artists, martial arts instructors, martial arts actors, etc. If you have acrobatic, gymnastic, or related dance background you may find this site to be of use to you as well. Use your best judgment. There are other talent and job sites which do not have this requirement. See also #3.

5. Can I search through Casting Directors or Employers?

We do not allow any search of Casting Directors or Recruiters. When there are openings available they are posted on the site and you may apply freely. Casting Directors and Recruiters have the ability to search our database of talent and contact them.

6. How do I register / sign up with Martial Arts Talent?

You may sign up here. You'll need to select a membership. Afterwards, you may complete your profile and start applying immediately to listings.

7. Why does it cost to access your listings?

Although there are some sites with free casting listings, we are not one of them. A paid membership is required to access certain features and publicize yourself with member profiles. These methods help ensure Casting Directors and Recruiters receive submissions from determined seekers. We have not increased our prices in years and have no intention of doing so. 8. Can you guarantee work?

No resource can guarantee work. If you are looking for martial arts jobs or martial arts auditions you will find those opportunities on Martial Arts Talent. You'll find new listing on our site each week. Casting directors search our database of active talent. With a Member Profile, you can upload photos, video, resume and be featured on our homepage as a Spotlight Member. You will need to apply to listings and you might want to set up alerts to have customized listings sent to your email. Here are a few of our Testimonials.

9. How often are Casting Listings updated?

Listings are usually updated and posted within 24 hours of receipt of the notice or sooner. We review listings for content before publishing.

10. What areas geographically do you cover?

Our listings are worldwide. We have two sections - Casting Listings USA and Casting Listings Worldwide. From 2010, we do not post listings outside of North America (USA and Canada only).

11. What kind of ads and postings do you have?

We have casting listings for big and low budget feature films, independent films, short films, commercials, documentaries, artistic projects, reality shows, tournaments, competitions, print work. We also have martial arts job listings from organizations and employers seeking martial arts instructors and/or other jobs which require martial arts skill/knowledge.
