Happy Chinese New Year - Year of the Metal Tiger!

February 15, 2010

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!

Gong Hay Fat Choy!

The Chinese year 4708 began on Sunday, February 14, 2010.

Chinese New Year is the longest and most important celebration in the Chinese calendar. Chinese New Year Tiger!

February 14, 2010 begins the year of the White Metal Tiger.

One legend has it that in ancient times, Buddha asked all the animals to meet him on Chinese New Year. Twelve came, and Buddha named a year after each one. He announced that the people born in each animal's year would have some of that animal's personality. Those born in pig years tend to have excellent manners, make and keep friends, work very hard, and appreciate luxury. They are very loving and make loyal partners.

As this is the year of the Metal Tiger, the year should be a big and bold one. It is a year for massive change but this can also bring out the best.

For all of the Chinese horoscope signs, this year is one to be active – seizing opportunities and making the most of our personal and very individual talents.

In this New Year, may wisdom, good luck and abundance always be with you!
