WAR: Rogue Assassin Jet Li vs Statham

Vengence is the ultimate weapon.

Jet Li is back. And so is Jason Statham. The two pair up on screen as adversaries in a full-throttle, martial arts action-thriller called WAR. Jet Li (Fearless, Unleashed, Hero) is still showing off his trademark lightening-speed screen-fighting skills but this time around he plays an infamous and elusive assassin named Rogue who has murdered an FBI agent.

The murdered agent's former partner Jack Crawford, played by Jason Statham (Crank, Transporter, The Italian Job), has now become obsessed with revenge as his own world unravels into a vortex of guilt and betrayal. Rogue proves untraceable until three years later when he eventually resurfaces to settle a score of his own, igniting a bloody crime war between Asian mob underground rivals the Triads and the Yakuza.

When Jack and Rogue finally come face to face in a tense showdown, the ultimate truth of their pasts will be revealed.

The two mega-action stars were last seen sharing the screen in the 2001 martial arts film based on multiple universes, The One.

WAR is directed by music video director Phillip G. Atwell with top action director Corey Yuen (Hero, Transporter, Kiss of the Dragon) as the martial arts choreographer. The film hits the big screen on August 24, 2007.

The film stars Jet Li, Jason Statham, Devon Aoki, Kane Kosugi and Steph Song. Its working title was Rogue but was recently changed to avoid conflict with another 2007 film with the same name.
